Good Food Awards: January 2016
Langdon Wood’s 1814 Barrel Aged Hot Sauce is a 2016 Good Food Awards winner!
The Good Food Awards celebrate the kind of food we all want to eat: tasty, authentic and responsibly produced. We grant awards to outstanding American food producers and the farmers who provide their ingredients. We host an annual Awards Ceremony and Marketplace at the iconic Ferry Building in San Francisco to honor the Good Food Award recipients who push their industries towards craftsmanship and sustainability while enhancing our agricultural landscape and building strong communities.
How fabulous is that! Well, except that it means our limited edition hot sauce will be even harder to get!

Washington Post Food: November 2015
“IT WON’T CHANGE YOUR LIFE. IT WILL CHANGE YOUR PANCAKES.” That’s what the headline read in the Langdon Wood Barrel Aged Maple Syrup feature in the Washington Post’s Shopping Cart column.
The post thinks we have “unusual complexity” and “depth of flavor.” They might say that – but we could’t possibly comment…
The Whiskey Wash – November 2015
The launch of our newest collaboration with Catoctin Creek is making all kinds of news. Like this article in The Whiskey Wash says, Catoctin Creek is now doing a Maple-finished Rye Whiskey with barrels we used to age our syrup in – that of course originally came from CCDC. It’s the whiskey barrel circle of life.

Washington Life Magazine – June 2014
Apparently people think our barrel-aged maple syrups won’t just change your pancakes – they’ll also change your cocktails!
Start off Father’s Day by serving dad French toast with this Grade A Pennsylvania maple syrup from Art Drauglis that’s aged in Catoctin Creek’s used rye (breakfast never tasted so good.) Later, use it to make him The Colonel Langdon cocktail.
This article in the Washington Life Magazine features the fabulous Colonel Langdon cocktail created by our good friend and food writer Emily Landsman.
HuffPo Father’s Day Gifts – May 2014
It’s Father’s Day, and the Huffington Post thinks we are a great idea for a Father’s Day gift. We couldn’t agree more. While we can’t do same day delivery, if you are in the Washington DC region in the USA — you can swing by a bunch of great stores and buy a bottle in time for Dad.
Washington Post Spirits Column – May 2014
We love that WaPo Spirits columnist M. Carrie Allen celebrated the release of Catoctin Creek 92 Proof by creating a new cocktail featuring Catoctin Creek Roundstone Rye, Langdon Wood Barrel Aged Maple Syrup, and Fee Brothers Whiskey Barrel-Aged Bitters.
Hop online to grab the recipe and see where to buy Langdon Wood Barrel Aged Maple Syrup!
Washington Post Express – March 2014
Barrel-aging is the new “bacon?” Nah…but it looks like we aren’t alone in recognizing the amazing flavor added by barrel aging.
Check out this article in the Washington Post Express by Erin Bylander, which talks about the ways that chefs and food entrepreneurs like our very own Art Drauglis, are usin
g barrel aging to boost the flavor. And while you can’t get the delicious Bistro Bohem Chicken and Waffles mentioned in the article with our syrup anymore, they are still making the tasty Langdon Wood Barrel Aged Maple Syrup infused Maple Mocha at Bistro Bohem.

How amazing to get a shout out on NPR! We love The Salt blog.
While the post gets our origin story a little wrong, it does get right that we’ve been partnering with Catoctin Creek since the beginning.
